Embark on a felucca boat cruise down the Nile to visit a traditional Nubian village on Soheil Island. Experience the lifestyle and welcoming culture of the residents who live there. One of the most delightful methods of travel on the Nile is the felucca wooden vessel with triangular sails. Cruise along the famous river and make your way to Soheil Island, where you find a traditional Nubian village. Enjoy being welcomed by the community while you visit a local school and maybe even be invited into someone’s home. Learn about the Nubian’s long history in southern Egypt and Sudan from your guide. Nubians are also famous for their expert horsemanship and ability with the bow, both traditional expressions of their culture. Observe the ancient inscriptions carved into the granite rocks, now important records of significant historical events from ancient times.
